I bought Pixal the same day I bought my toaster and used it tok develope
models for my first logo job in LW. It really sucked and I had to
manually edit about a bazilian points in pixal. I was comming to LW from
Aladdin and didn't have the time to learn modeller for that deadline. I
don't remember if the Stranahan modeller tutorial tape was out yet but I
wasn'taware of it so I just did the best I could with the pixal "pro"
Never used it again and woulnd up finally selling it last year for about
40 bucks. Now I have some eps's to convert to objects myself. It is for
my own logo animation. I do have typesmith and will try to go that way
first. I was planning on loading them into pagestream to produce a
bitmap I can use as a template to manually trace in modeller.
A lot of clients have artwork produced on macs in PS format and it would
be nice to be able to load and save elements as lwobj's instead of what
I have to do now so I might just have to rebuy pixal. Even it the
typesmith thing works, I still will have to deal with the surfaces.
If someone did write a good auto tracing program it would sell quite a
few copies
